Staff Meeting Xylophone

At the elementary school about once a week or so, I attend staff meetings with the other teachers. Every meeting, there’s a teacher from one of the class levels (6th grade, 5th grade, 4th grade, etc, in descending order) who acts as the MC. One of the MC’s jobs is to begin and end the meeting with the sound of this little xylophone here:

The yellow stickers say “beginning” and “end,” to help the teachers know which order they’re supposed to play the notes in (“beginning” is ascending notes, and “ending” is descending). I never really paid attention to what was making the sounds of those notes every week, until the teacher next to me ended up being the meeting starter/closer). I never imagined the sound was coming from an actual xylophone and not a recording of some sort.

    1. I’m glad you enjoyed it :) A teacher from the middle school visited the elementary school today and was playing around with the xylophone–I guess the middle school doesn’t use it at their meetings (haha).
