2013: A Year of Renkon

It’s almost been almost a year since I arrived in Japan again, and I’ve been taking pictures of the renkon-batake or lotus root patch (?) for a lot of that time. I didn’t get it every month, but the view here dramatically changes every season.

June 3, 2013 – evening
June 19, 2013 – late afternoon
July 11, 2013–today! :D

 I don’t always take this way home, but it really pays off. I’ll have to keep my camera out more often next year! Also, one of my students reminded me that today is 7-11! Remember to go out and support your local convenience store if you see this in time, haha. It’s still 7-11 in America for a while yet.
